Ways to Give
Giving Now or Later
Any charitable gift you arrange can be made in honor of someone. Consider these two basic methods of establishing a memorial or honorary gift.
A GIFT TODAY
An outright gift can help fund immediate needs or an upcoming project. The financial benefits include an income tax deduction and possible elimination of capital gains tax.
A GIFT TOMORROW
Through a bequest in your will, stating that a specific asset, certain dollar amount or – more commonly – a percentage of your estate may pass to the Medical Center Foundation, leaving a lasting legacy in the Madison Valley.
Make an Impact Today
Funds raised through the Madison Valley Medical Center Foundation provide for programs and services that would not be possible without the support of a caring community.
We want the Medical Center to continue providing you with the highest quality health care today and in the future. Your gift makes a difference and is the easiest way to make an impact today.
Honorary & Memorial Donations
You can make a gift in memory of a friend of loved one, in tribute to an extraordinary person or caregiver who has made a difference in your life, or to commemorate a special occasion such as a birthday or anniversary.
When you make a memorial or honorary gift, we will acknowledge your gift with a receipt and will also send a note to the person you are recognizing or the person or family member of the person you are honoring or memorializing to let them know about your kindness. Gifts of all sizes are appreciated; we will not share the size of any gift with the individual or family members of the individual being memorialized or honored.
Memorial and honorary gifts can be made in a variety of ways:
Online
You can make a secure gift online and include the name of the person you wish to memorialize or honor as well as the contact information for anyone you wish us to notify of your gift.

Legacy Giving
Legacy giving is one of the strongest ways to maximize your impact.
Examples include:
Naming the Foundation in your estate plan (will or trust)
Naming the Foundation as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy or a retirement plan
Gifts of stock, real estate, or securities
Donor-Advised Funds
Charitable Gift Annuities (CGA)
Endowment giving to the Foundation’s General Endowment
Montana Endowment Tax-Credit
Legacy Giving means finding a way to make an important gift to the Foundation, a cause you believe in, while still receiving the best tax benefits possible and achieving personal financial goals. Your generosity and thoughtfulness will provide you and your family a sense of satisfaction and pride in being able to make a difference at the Madison Valley Medical Center Foundation.

Employer Match
Did you know that your donation to the Madison Valley Medical Center Foundation may be matched dollar-for-dollar? Your employer may multiply your donation's impact.
Many employers have matching gift programs and will match tax-deductible charitable contributions made by their employees, retirees and employees' spouses. If you donate $100, for example, your company may contribute an additional $50 (50% match), $100 (100% match) or even $200 (200% match).
To find out if your employer offers this incentive, please call the human resources department. Request a matching gift form, complete the employee portion of the form, and mail the form to the Madison Valley Medical Center Foundation with your gift. You may also want to ask your employer to start one.
